RANA has made arrangements with the City of Huntsville and Madison County to help collect recyclables this Friday, February 13.
All 2nd week RANA recycling customers (those with 2nd Monday through 2nd Friday pickup days) should leave their carts out and ensure they are on the curb Friday, February 13th, before 7 a.m., and make sure to leave at least 5 feet of space between each cart and any other objects. All materials collected by the city and county sanitation vehicles will be handled and transported by SWDA to its recycling processor in Chattanooga, as is customary.
A lengthy list of reported misses are also being worked on daily, and our contractor will have all of their drivers working on reported missed collections from January and 1st week of February.
All recycling collection routes are expected to be back on schedule with our contractor starting 3rd week collections on Monday, February 16th .
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: LOOSE IN CART – NO GARBAGE BAGS PLEASE!
- #1 and #2 Narrow Neck Plastic Bottles (No other plastics or bags)
- Aluminum & Steel Cans (no miscellaneous metals)
- Paper
- Flattened Cardboard
ANY OTHER Household garbage should go in green garbage carts or to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility @ 1055 A Cleaner Way, Huntsville, AL 35805.
