Batteries create a potential fire hazard when mixed with other materials. Because all items to be recycled must be placed inside the cart for automated pickup, it is necessary to remove batteries from the curbside collection.

        Motor Oil

The new automated trucks are not equipped with oil vats to collect the used motor oil.

The new drive-thru Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facility at 1055 A Cleaner Way accepts these and many other household hazardous items for proper disposal Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
